KCS Foundation India is a Niti Aayog registered NGO operating from Madhubani district of Bihar. We bridge the gap between urban resources and rural potential — through technology, education, and community action.
2019, in village Awari, Madhubani, Bihar, India by Dr. Pankaj Jha and Dr. Menaka Shekhar.

From digital labs to vocational training — every program is designed to create lasting, self-sustaining change in communities.
Bridging the digital divide for rural youth with internet skills, computer access, and digital tools training across 12+ districts.
Establishing science and coding laboratories in rural government schools. 20+ labs set up, impacting 5,000+ students.
Vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, and food processing. 400+ women now self-employed after completing our programs.
Comprehensive women's health and hygiene awareness program founded by Akshita Jha (Columbia University PhD), reaching thousands of rural women.

Named after Diana, Princess of Wales. One of the most prestigious youth awards in the world. Requires documented, sustained community impact with verified evidence — exactly what KCS Foundation provides.
A global social entrepreneurship competition hosted by the University of Delaware. Students pitch social ventures with real data. KCS Foundation projects provide the implementation, impact metrics, and business model evidence needed to win.
Youth Excellence in Social Impact Award recognising young leaders making measurable differences. The award specifically requires NGO-verified impact reports and beneficiary documentation — which every KCS Foundation Changemaker receives.
Global science video competition. Explain a complex concept in math, life sciences or physics in under 90 seconds to win a $250,000 scholarship. Free to enter — KCS Foundation STEM projects provide the perfect subject matter.
A $100,000 global environmental sustainability competition. Teams develop solutions to environmental challenges. KCS Foundation environmental projects in rural Bihar provide the real-world pilot site and impact data judges want.
Ashoka recognises young people who have launched systemic social change initiatives. Selection includes interviews and panel review. KCS Foundation projects provide the demonstrated, sustained initiative Ashoka looks for.
